Bilkent Malatya Laboratory Schools is a private educational institution established under Law No. 5526 as part of Bilkent University’s vision to extend its high-quality educational model—originating from Turkey’s first private university—towards the eastern regions of the country. Our goal is to provide students with superior academic education while nurturing them as competent and virtuous individuals who uphold both international standards and national and moral values.
International Bilingual Education Programs:
In addition to the national curriculum set by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE), our school implements internationally recognized programs such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge programs. In this context:
- Preschool and Primary School (Grades 1–4): Activities supporting English language learning are implemented.. Ayrıca, Talim Terbiye Kurulu onaylı Cambridge İlkokul (Cambridge Primary) ile Uluslararası Bakalorya İlkokul Yılları Çerçeve Programı (PYP) uygulanabilmektedir. Okulumuz 2025-26 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında ana sınıfı, 1. sınıf ve 2. sınıf seviyerinde eğitim faaliyetinlerine başlayacaktır.
- Middle School (Grades 5–8): Türkçe, Sosyal Bilgiler, T.C. İnkılap Tarihi ve Atatürkçülük, Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi dersleri Türkçe olarak işlenirken, diğer dersler uygulamalı yabancı dille (İngilizce) verilmektedir. Cambridge Ortaokulu Programları (Cambridge Secondary) ile Uluslararası Bakalorya Ortaokul Yılları Çerçeve Programı (MYP) uygulanabilmektedir. Okulumuzun 2028’de ortaokul düzeyinde eğitim faaliyetlerine başlaması planlanmaktadır.
- High School: Courses such as Turkish Language and Literature, History, Geography, History of Turkish Revolution and Kemalism, and Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge are taught in Turkish, while other subjects are taught in applied English. Students must pass international exams determined by the Bilkent University Senate in order to transition from 10th to 11th grade. The IB Diploma Programme will be implemented in grades 11 and 12, and obtaining the IB diploma is a requirement for graduation. Our school is scheduled to begin high school education in 2032.
Holistic Development and Collaborative Endeavors:
Our educational philosophy aims to equip students not only academically but also with strong national, ethical, humanitarian, spiritual, and cultural values. Special emphasis is placed on arts and music education, as well as on fostering a consciousness of environmental sustainability. Our students will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative academic and social projects with other departments, students, and faculty members of Bilkent University.
